Sunday morning at BU: Parent Orientation, mass, and Picnic!

Around 400 families of new BU students came out for Parent Crossroads this sunny Sunday morning! Some highlights were: Dr. Anne Bucalos explained her typical, yet sometimes comical, experiences as a parent of two college students; Erica Osborne, Academic Advisor in the ARC, dispelled some myths and told some truths about having a daughter in college; Dr. Sutton and a panel of experts, introduced parents to the particulars of having a son in college; and Amy Seigel, Academic Advisor in the ARC, explained the necessities for first-generation families. New parents: what was the most helpful or surprising piece ofadvice you received today?

After mass, families enjoyed the beautiful weather and free time for the Picnic. It was all smiles as families lounged in the grass, under shade trees and umbrellas, on benches, and at tables.
