Well-Being Pilates

Come to the Surf center tennis Courts from 12pm-1pm for a fun class featuring movements designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. With systematic practice of specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns, Pilates has proven itself invaluable not only as a fitness endeavor itself, but also as an important adjunct to sports training and physical rehabilitation of all kinds.

Civil Rights Tour of Louisville

Join fellow students from 8:45am-3pm as they take a tour of historic civil rights landmarks in Louisville. Participants will be led by Mr. Ira Grupper an instructor at BU and local civil rights activist who knows US and Louisville civil rights history first hand.
Space is limited so be sure to reserve a spot on the bus with Ryan Simpson (rsimpson@bellarmine.edu) as soon as possible.

Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula at Actors theater

Join the Louisville Connections program for a performance of Fifth Third Bank’s Dracula at the Actors Theater from 7:30pm-9pm.  This production is a Louisville favorite and is packed with plenty of thrills to keep you entertained.  Only 30 tickets are available (limit one per student) for this event.
If you would like to receive a ticket, you must register online at https://orgsync.com/70302/forms/117025 beginning Wednesday, October 1.  30 names will be chosen at random for the tickets on Wednesday, October 15.  If your name is selected, you will be contacted with further instructions on when to pick up your free ticket.  You have until midnight on Wednesday, October 15 to enter.  You must provide your name, phone number, email address, and student ID number to be considered.\

4th Annual Dialogue on Diversity campus

Dig Pink

Join Knights’ Nation and the Women’s Volleyball Team for the annual Dig Pink event on Sunday, October 26 at knights hall from 12:30pm-2:pm, raising funds for the Side-Out Foundation to further breast cancer awareness, education and patient services.
This is a PINK OUT game so all fans in attendance are encouraged to wear pink in support of the cause.  Donations will be collected to support the Side-Out Foundation in their battle to defeat cancer.

Residence Life hosts-from 6-8pm-local neighborhood and alumni children and families for an exciting night of trick-or-treating in the Siena Residence halls.  The event is free and includes candy give-aways, games, and activities for the children.  Please volunteer to support this annual event!

Bellarmine University Dance Marathon

Join the women of Phi Mu for the inaugural Bellarmine University Dance Marathon starting at 7pm .  The event will be a campus-wide event to raise money for Kosair Children’s Hospital via Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.  All students are welcome to participate in this amazing, inspiring, and heart warming all-night event.  All dancers will be grouped into teams but may also dance as an RSO representative.  Registration will begin in August and continue until the end of October.  There will be entertainment, food, and special surprises throughout the night.  Don’t miss out on this life- changing event!

Mock Interviews

Students can join the Career Development Center in Frazier hall from 11-12pm to Practice interview skills with Bellarmine Alumni who are successful professionals in a variety of fields. You will get a 30 minute mock interview which includes feedback. Registration is limited so please register by November 6th to ensure your spot!

Safe Zone training

Join the Office of Multicultural affairs in the fire place room of Horrigan from 3-5pm for safe zone training. Safe Zone is a program implemented at various colleges and universities across the country. It is designed to educate the community about personal, sociological and political issues faced by Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning people. Through education and advocacy, Safe Zone strives to foster a safe, affirming, and socially just environment for the LGBT community.
People who have completed the Safe Zone Training program and have committed to serving as an ally receive a Safe Zone sticker that can be placed on doors, walls, etc.  This then identifies the ally to LGBTQ individuals or other allies.

GRE Practice Test

The Career Development Center is hosting a GRE Practice test from 9am-12pm. Kaplan Learning will be on campus offering a FREE sample test of the newly revised GRE . If you are planning to apply to graduate school this year or next, take the practice test to see where you stand and to learn how you can improve your scores and chances of admission.
